The university management is responding to the current health situation and the increasing number of coronavirus (Sars-CoV-2) infections in Germany.
On the recommendation of HNEE’s crisis management team, the university management has adopted a Pandemic Plan. The regulations contained in the plan are binding for all members of the university. The instructions must be followed in all cases. HNEE is taking these precautionary measures primarily to protect all persons at the university. A further objective in direct relation to this is to maintain the teaching activities at HNEE. These measures will be regularly adapted to the current situation and communicated in a timely manner.
10. November 2022
There are currently no access restrictions for cultural and scientific institutions. For the behavior of each individual, however, essential points are still to be observed (AHA+L+A rule):
- Distance requirement of 1.50 m
- Adherence to appropriate hygiene measures
- Wearing a mask: There is no obligation to wear a mask at the HNEE, but we would like to urge you to do so, especially if the minimum distance of 1.50 m cannot be maintained (e.g. in practical courses, exercises, etc.).
- Regular airing of the interior rooms
- Reduction of personal contacts
Of course, we would like to continue to encourage you to take advantage of appropriate vaccination opportunities with your family physicians.
The principle of compulsory attendance at courses and for examinations also continues to apply.
In order to reduce personal contacts, however, the necessity of presence or the possibility of conducting them in a digital variant should be checked by the person responsible for the event on his/her own responsibility in the case of work meetings, events in the context of work and/or in committees.
The university will continue to provide employees with masks and tests (e.g. if work cannot be carried out at the minimum distance) if there is a justified need in terms of occupational health and safety. For this purpose, please contact - centrally via the supervisor - the Real Estate and Environmental Management Department.
Furthermore, persons tested positive must seclude themselves for at least 5 days in accordance with the general decree of the Barnims district. Entering the university is only allowed after 48 hours of freedom from symptoms, at the longest 10 days after the test result.
All measures are a snapshot, which can be made stricter and/or more far-reaching by decision of the state in the event of a worsening of the infection situation.
