Start of studies

voluntary one-week intensive course in English, to facilitate the introduction to the English-language teaching of the study programme, or an introduction to the German language and culture, for a better understanding of your possibly new host country, is offered shortly before the start of the semester. 

The introductory week for winter term 2021/22 starts on 20 September 2021.

All offers are expected to take place on-site in Eberswalde.

First Tiny Forest in Germany!

Germany's first Tiny Forest was realized on a private property in the Uckermark 🌳🌲 The idea behind the "Forest of Diversity" project: This rapidly growing microhabitat is intended to make a contribution to climate protection that is also easy for others to imitate. The project is being implemented by Stefan Scharfe (Forestry System Transformation M.Sc.) and Lukas Steingässer (International Forest Ecosystem Management B.Sc.)...

During the introductory week, the FST first semester students of the WiSe 2019/20 took part in an excursion to the climbing forest (24th of September 2019)

Information for international applicants: Pre-Study german langauge course B2/C1 at the HNEE

Starting in the winter semester 2019/20, the course is aimed at international students, applicants preparing to study and exchange students who need B2 or C1 level German in order to be able to study on degree programmes in German at our university. For the B2 course, prior knowledge of German at the B1 level is required. The C1 course requires prior knowledge of German at the B2 level.
