Documents for uni-assist application

The following application documents (references/certificates, etc.) must be uploaded exclusively online in the application portal (My Assist). Please note that this list is not complete and uni-assist e.V. may request additional documents.

• For Bachelor Programmes:

  • copy of the higher education entrance qualification (if the original is not issued in German or English, a certified German or English translation by a sworn translator is additionally required)

  • Depending on the type of degree and the country of origin, the following documents may be included in the higher education entrance qualification (country information uni-assist):
    

    • School graduation certificates 

    • Academic achievements of 1 to 2 academic years already completed
    • other certificates relevant to the higher education entrance qualification
• For Master Programmes: 

  • copy of the university degree certificate incl. grade average and transcript of records (if the original is not issued in German or English, a certified German or English translation by a sworn translator is additionally required), see also country information uni-assist.
    

  • copy of the university entrance qualification (if the original is not issued in German or English, a certified German or English translation by a sworn translator is additionally required) - Exception: if the high school graduation certificate is regarded as proof of language proficiency, an officially certified copy must be submitted.

• If required: Proof of English language skills (see Language Requirements and TOEFL)

• If required: proof of German language skills (see language requirements)

• Other certificates (academic or professional experience, internships, etc.)

• Curriculum Vitae

• if necessary, further documents which serve as proof of academic suitability (e.g. motivation letter)

Foreign certificates must be translated into German or English by a sworn translator.

In case of admission, the university entrance qualification or the Master's entrance qualification must be submitted as a certified copy or shown in the original for enrolment.
