Promotional film about the faculty

The University of Applied Sciences in Eberswalde and the Faculty of Landscape Management and Nature Conservation are dedicated to promoting sustainable development in research, academics and in the university's own operations and activities. For development to be sustainable, social and economic growth always need to ensure that global ecosystems are able to function, develop and endure and are thus resilient to disruptions and change over the long run. In doing so, complex ecological and social systems are impacted by human activities on the one hand and, on the other, continue to evolve on their own and mutually affect one another (coevolution). Protecting and conserving natural resources is thus the basis for their long-term, sustainable economic use. To achieve this goal, a wide range of forward-looking landscape management strategies is needed at both the local and global level.

Our Faculty's research and academics focus issues related to rural areas, landscape use, regional development, nature conservation, land use for organic agriculture as well as renewable energy sources and sustainable tourism.

Find out what our Faculty has to offer on the following pages and in our promotional film.
